zeyu Direct – Limited Warranty Policy

This Limited Warranty outlines the warranty coverage for digital kitchen scales, nutrition scales, and related culinary measuring accessories purchased directly from izeyu.com. This store and website are operated by zeyu Direct (referred to herein as "zeyu Direct", "we", "us", or "our").

This warranty applies exclusively to products purchased from our official website and utilized strictly for their intended household or culinary applications.

1. Who Is Covered

This Limited Warranty is extended solely to the original retail purchaser who bought the product directly from izeyu.com.

  • The product must be purchased directly from our official storefront.

  • The product must be used strictly for its intended purpose (e.g., food preparation, portion weighing, and domestic culinary use).

  • This warranty is strictly non-transferable to any subsequent owners or users.

2. Warranty Period

Unless explicitly stated otherwise on the specific product page, all zeyu Direct products are covered by a 24-month limited warranty starting from the original purchase date.

  • Product-Specific Terms: Certain product categories may feature different warranty terms. If a different timeframe is specified on the product page, that product-specific term will supersede the standard 24-month term.

  • Dead on Arrival (DOA): If an item arrives defective, unresponsive, or non-functional, you must report it to us within 7 calendar days of delivery.

  • Shipping Damage or Missing Packages: Must be reported within 3 business days of delivery.

  • Standard Returns (Unused Items): Eligible for return within 30 days of delivery, subject to our standard Return Policy.

3. What This Warranty Covers

During the active 24-month warranty period, this warranty covers defects in materials, sensor accuracy, electronic components, or manufacturing workmanship under normal, domestic use and service conditions.

If a product is verified and confirmed by us to have a manufacturing defect (such as persistent calibration errors, screen malfunction, or power failures not caused by batteries), zeyu Direct will provide a remedy (repair, replacement, store credit, or refund) as detailed in Section 7.

4. What This Warranty Does Not Cover

This Limited Warranty does NOT cover any issues, failures, or damages resulting from:

  • Commercial, industrial, or heavy laboratory use outside of normal household culinary applications.

  • Improper maintenance, exposure to extreme temperatures, severe water damage, submersion (unless the model is explicitly rated as fully waterproof), or dropping the device.

  • Unauthorized modifications, disassembly, alterations, or repairs by third parties.

  • Normal wear and tear, cosmetic degradation, scratches on the weighing platform, color fading, or corrosion caused by food acids or chemical cleaners.

  • Battery leakage or damage caused by using incorrect or depleted batteries (batteries themselves are generally excluded from long-term warranty coverage).

Exclusions of Incidental and Consequential Damages: Important Note: This warranty covers the physical product only. zeyu Direct is not responsible for any secondary losses, including but not limited to ruined ingredients, commercial food prep downtime, loss of income, or any secondary damage caused to other kitchen appliances or property.

5. How to Start a Warranty Claim

If you believe your product is experiencing a warrantable issue, you must contact us prior to returning any items. Unauthorized returns will not be processed.

To initiate a claim, please submit the following to our customer service team via our Contact Us page or by emailing support@izeyu.com:

  1. Your official Order Number and product details.

  2. Clear, high-resolution photos or video footage clearly demonstrating the defect or issue (e.g., a video showing inaccurate readings, display glitches, or power issues).

  3. A brief description of the issue and how it occurred.

Once submitted, please await our claim instructions and a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number if a physical return is deemed necessary.

6. RMA and Return Address

Please do not ship products back to us without prior approval. Many warranty claims regarding digital scales can be verified and settled through photo or video evidence alone.

If a physical inspection or return is required, we will issue you an RMA number along with the designated return address.

7. Warranty Remedies

Upon confirming a covered manufacturing defect, zeyu Direct reserves the right to choose one of the following remedies at its sole discretion:

  • Repair the defective product.

  • Replace the product with an identical or comparable item.

  • Issue a Store Credit for future purchases.

  • Issue a Refund of the product purchase price (original shipping fees may be excluded unless mandated otherwise by local European/local laws).

Any repaired or replaced item will be warranted for the remainder of the original 24-month warranty period, or for 90 days from the date of replacement/repair, whichever duration is longer.

8. Shipping, Returns, and Warranty Boundaries

Depending on the timing and nature of the issue, certain situations fall under our standard shipping or return policies rather than this warranty:

  • For items damaged during transit, lost packages, or delivery discrepancies, please refer to our Shipping Policy.

  • For brand-new, unused items that you simply wish to return, please refer to our Return & Refund Policy.

9. Changes to This Warranty

We reserve the right to modify or update this Limited Warranty at any time. The version of the warranty posted on our website at the precise time of your purchase will govern that specific order.
